Read and Print Document Tracking Software Solutions
Our read and print tracking solution makes sure the documents that
are stuffed into the envelop are the right ones. This solution integrates a bar code reader with Blackware control and interface to popular inkjet printers The Blackware system interfaces with the
cam to provide an accurate adjustable trigger on a new cycle. Blackware's software manages the print queue.
This system was designed to retrofit to the old Bell & Howell mail stuffing
machines. We use Microscan Mini Velocity
camera to read the datamatrix bar code or IMB
characters into the Blackware system. Then they compare that information to the known
records database and track that document from nest to nest. If a 2nd document is stuffed down
the line, it can also be tracked to make sure that it goes into the proper
envelop.
Blackware component based modular software can control the whole production line (Buhrs, Sitma) or selected inkjet printers. Currently their software supports printers from Kodak (printers that were formerly under Scitex brand), Videojet, Domino, Metronic, Imaje and Rena.
All of this is performed at a very high speed. The operator interface on the PC keeps
everyone informed of what envelop is where.
The database has a time and date stamp so the % of document matching
accuracy and order fulfillment can be tracked for customer satisfaction.
This tested application uses a bar code scanner or vision system to read the data on the document and track it after the printing process. The document is verified against a customer datafile and the machine is stopped is there is a no match. Multiple documents can be inserted into the same envelope at different positions and by adding more readers, all of this can be matched.
If necessary, data linked to the document number can be directed to print directly on the envelope and be ready for mailing.
